We are not oligarchs

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

The “We the People” referenced in the Declaration of Independence of 1776 were the oligarchs. And that is still true today.

99% of United States (US) citizens are not being provided with decent employment, housing, education, and health care. Many of us are homeless, or live in poverty. The United States (US) is today the epicenter of the coronavirus with over a million deaths, while at the same time, 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens.

Thus the notion that the US is the beacon of democracy is ludicrous!

A democracy does not need 800 military bases around the world. A democracy does not need to dictate to other nations what they must do. A democracy need not treat other nations as enemies, because they are different. And the world need not consider a democracy as the biggest threat to peace.

US Major General Smedley Butler realized that the US is not a democracy. He argued in his 1935 book, “War is a Racket”, that the US is governed by oligarchs.

US oligarchs (USO) militarily invaded Puerto Rico in 1898 to make her a colony. USO refused to comply with the United Nations (UN) Charter of 1945 that prohibits colonialism for being a crime against humanity. Moreover, the USO have ignored 40 UN resolutions asking them to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

Humanity is presently at the edge of a nuclear war, because USO want all the wealth in the world for themselves in the name of democracy and human rights. USO are an organized crime organization, and that’s why they want to kill Julian Assange.

We need to fight for real democracy, or the USO will destroy the world. https://todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/

Make “we the people” finally mean “we the people”!
