Nobody talked about the real issue!

by José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

The following is a video about Trump lying about the United States Government’s (USG) response to last years’ Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Click on the following link to watch the video:

It is obvious that most United States’ (US) citizens are unaware that Puerto Rico is a US colony since 1898. The reason why Trump doesn’t care about what happens to Puerto Ricans is because they are slaves of the USG. Click here for more information (in Spanish):

What people call the Puerto Rico government is in reality the USG’s administration of its colony. That guy that Trump said was a good guy, the so called governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rosello, is his colonial administrator.

Ricardo is a good guy for Trump, because he represents Trump’s interests. However, Ricardo, does not represent the interests of the Puerto Ricans. That is why, with almost 3,000 deaths, more than in Katrina, Ricardo says that Trump did an excellent job!

It is absolutely true that the entire infrastructure in Puerto Rico is fragile, at best. But that is what everybody should expect when the USG has exploited Puerto Rico and the Puerto Ricans for the past 120 years! Why do you think there are 5.4 million Puerto Ricans living away from Puerto Rico versus 3.4 who refuse to abandon their national territory?

Most people don’t know that the USG has violated for 73 years the United Nations’ (UN) Charter which prohibits colonialism. Most people also don’t know that the USG has ignored thus far 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

Join the permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with the desire of the international community, because those who have maintained a colony for over a century don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL!
