Is democracy capitalism?

You would think that democracy is capitalism, if you were a United States (US) citizen.

If capitalism is democracy, why are 38 million Americans living in poverty today, while 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens?

If socialism is not democracy, why has the People’s Republic of China already eradicated poverty at home, despite having 4 times the US’ population?

And, if the US were “the champion of democracy”, why are only 40% of US citizens satisfied with our government, while over 90% of Chinese are satisfied with theirs?

Do you know that the US has ignored 41 United Nations (UN) resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? This month, the UN will, once again, hold its annual Puerto Rico decolonization hearing, and again issue yet another similar resolution.
