US’ push for PR colonialism was money

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

The following video is another example of United States (US) fake news. It is what Noam Chomsky wrote about in his book, “Manufacturing Consent”.

The video conveniently omitted the most important historical facts to distract people from the real solution. The presenter said that, “…, the push for statehood is about money.” Wasn’t that the US government’s motivation in 1898 to militarily invade Puerto Rico to make her its colony? Click on the following link to watch that video: https://youtu.be/1FQ8kmKSsqk

The video talked about Puerto Ricans voting in plebiscites. Where was a US plebiscite in 1898 to make Puerto Rico her colony?

The video also neglected to mention the fact that in the Treaty of Paris of 1898 (still in effect today) says that the rights of Puerto Ricans shall be determined by the US. That means that Puerto Ricans are US slaves! Being that Puerto Ricans have no right that the US has to obey, voting, as a means to better the lives of Puerto Ricans, is useless!

The real solution is for the 9 million Puerto Ricans worldwide to engage in permanent resistance to force the US to comply with the United Nations’ charter of 1945 that prohibits colonialism for being a crime against humanity, and to comply with 40 UN resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

The video pretends that the US wants to solve the very problem that she created. That, however, will never happen, because keeping Puerto Rico as a colony means money for the US! https://todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/

Follow the money trail to 1898.
