Jeffrey Sachs called his video, “United States of FAILURE”. Jeffrey, by his use of the word failure, is assuming that the US wants to live in peace with the rest of the world. Jeffrey himself cites examples in his video that proves that that isn’t so. According to repeated Gallup Polls, the world considers the US as the biggest threat to peace! Here’s another example.
The US government (USG) militarily invaded Puerto Rico in 1898 to make her its colony. In 1945, the USG refused to comply with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism for being a crime against humanity. Moreover, the USG has ignored, as it did with Russia’s repeated warnings, 40 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. History has shown that the US is not interested in democracy. That is why today the US is the epicenter of the coronavirus with over a million deaths, while, at the same time, 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. And that is why the US is willing to destroy everything to make her oligarchs even richer.
