It’s time for a new UN

The United Nations (UN), supposedly an organization for peace, has not been able to stop an obvious genocide in 6 months. That means that the UN has major systemic problems. The UN’s biggest problem is the United States (US).

The US, like in the case of Israel, is an artificial colonial settler state that was created by committing genocide against the indigenous people of North America. That is why the US, in violation of the Genocide Convention, has been unconditionally supporting Israel’s genocidal campaign against the indigenous people of Palestine in their own homeland for the past 6 months!

The US will never allow the UN to achieve peace, because it will use its veto power to ensure war instead. That is why Gallup Polls consistently report that the US is the greatest threat to peace.

The US, therefore, is an oligarchy with democratic characteristics. The evidence is the fact that 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, while 38 million Americans today live in poverty.

Some people might think that poverty can’t be eradicated, even by the richest nation. That is not true. The People’s Republic of China, the second richest nation, has eradicated her poverty since 2020, despite having 4 times the US’ population.

I therefore suggest that the 87% of the nations that are willing to comply with the UN’s Charter should create a new peace organization with its headquarters in Haiti. Haiti could then benefit from the money generated by the new peace organization being there, which she desperately needs. The UN would then be left with the 13% of the rouge states that don’t comply with international law anyway.

The US, for example, consistently refuses to comply with 42 UN’s resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

A new Democratic United Nations is needed!
