Does the US really care about democracy?

One glaring evidence that the United States (US) does not care about democracy and international law is the fact that it refuses to comply with 97% of the United Nations’ (UN) member states to stop its illegal blockade of Cuba, which as been in place for over 60 years. Another glaring example is the US’ continuous refusal to comply with 42 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. Puerto Rico has been a US colony for the past 125 years. That is a crime against humanity under international law! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

Today, the latest glaring example is the US’ total support of Israel, so that it could continue to commit war crimes that include collective punishment, ethnic cleansing, and genocide, under the pretext that Israel has the right to defend itself.

The truth of the matter is that, conversely, it is the Palestinians who have, under international law, the right to use all means necessary to decolonize themselves. The Jewish Zionists, as the occupiers in a colonial settler state, have no right to claim “self-defense”.

What does the US really care about? That could easily be answered from the fact that 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, while 38 million Americans live in poverty. The People’s Republic of China, a state the US claims is not a democracy, has already eradicated her poverty since 2020, despite having 4 times the US’ populations. Democracy, my eye!

US really cares about its oligarchs.
