Do Puerto Ricans really control Puerto Rico?

Have you visited the United States Government’s (USG) website on its “Fiscal Control Board for Puerto Rico”? This is what it says in the “About Us” section:

“About Us

The Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico was created under the Puerto Rico Oversight, Management and Economic Stability Act of 2016. The Board consists of seven members appointed by the President of the United States and one ex officio member designated by the Governor of Puerto Rico.

The Board is tasked with working with the people and Government of Puerto Rico to create the necessary foundation for economic growth and to restore opportunity to the people of Puerto Rico.”

Doesn’t everything look so legal, and seem to have the best interest of the people of Puerto Rico as its priority? Many people will buy it, because they don’t know Puerto Rico’s real history.

Puerto Rico’s real history isn’t taught in Puerto Rico or United States (US) schools. If it were, that would cause a revolution instead of the adoption of the reforms called for in this propaganda website.

Do you know that the USG militarily invaded Puerto Rico in 1898 to take her away from Spain? Puerto Rico has been a colony of the USG for the past 120 years! That means all the laws affecting Puerto Ricans are for the benefit of the USG. Does anyone doubt that?

Thus, the 2 paragraphs that the USG uses to explain what the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico is an outright lie! https://oversightboard.pr.gov/fombteam/

The intent is to convince those who don’t know the history that the Puerto Ricans are so corrupt in their management of their own government that the USG has to step in to protect them from themselves!

Do you know how the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico came about?

The Puerto Rican Nationalist Party led a revolution on October 30, 1950. Though it was unsuccessful, the USG felt that it needed to hide the fact that Puerto Rico is a US colony.

Luis Muñoz Marin conspired with the USG to pretend that Puerto Rico had obtained self-government in 1952, and that she was no longer a US colony. But the fact of the matter is that Puerto Ricans have no government of their own.

The reference to the Puerto Rico government in the mentioned “about us” is in reality referring to the USG’s administration of its colony. Therefore, the Board’s interest to “create the necessary foundation for economic growth and to restore opportunity to the people of Puerto Rico” is total deception!

Do you know that the USG classified Puerto Ricans as belonging to an inferior race in 1898? That is why it classified Puerto Rico as an unincorporated territory. The USG needed to do that to avoid having to extend its Constitution to Puerto Ricans. And, that is how the USG could legally discriminate against Puerto Ricans under US law.  Click on this link for more information (Spanish): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eb7hY-muuwM&t=566s

Therefore, the Board’s real job is to rid Puerto Ricans from Puerto Rico. Once that happens, then the USG will make Puerto Rico a state of the Union, with the right kind of people.

We must engage in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with international law.

Do you know that the USG has violated for the past 73 years the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism?

Do you know that the USG has ignored 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

Join the fight, because those who lie to the world to continue to commit a crime against humanity don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/

Knowing your history avoids being taken for a ride.
