The United States (US) had predicted that the ruble would turn into rubble, but it’s the US dollar that is quickly losing its hegemony as the global reserve currency. US hegemony has allowed her to have had an illegal economic blockade against Cuba since her revolution, despite the international community’s almost 100% rejection of it!
Moreover, US hegemony has also permitted her to continually refuse to comply with 42 United Nations resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. De-dollarization is good for democracy.
