Why US is Covid-19 epicenter?

The US, however, has 800 military bases around the world. The US is sending right now a lot of money to Ukraine for a war she provoked. The US is planning to provoke yet another war with China over Taiwan. What are US priorities?
The first priority of any government is the protection of its citizens? Why is that not happening?
Unfortunately for the 99% of US citizens, the US is a plutocracy. And, making war is more profitable for the 1% of US citizens, than protecting the rest of us.
The 99% of US citizens will have to take our sovereignty from the 1%. That is the only way for the US to ever become a real democracy.
Power to 100% of the people.
