Why is the US not a democracy?

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

The United States (US) is not a democracy, because it only represents 10% of its citizens. Please click on this link for more: https://youtu.be/o-GvgQuheUs

90% of Americans are taxed to fight imperialistic wars to make 10% of US citizens even richer. That was the warning that both US Major General Butler, in his book WAR IS A RACKET, and US President Eisenhower, in his farewell address to the nation about the Military Industrial Complex, gave to the American people. We did not listen!

Why should a democracy have 800 military bases all around the world? Why should 38 million Americas live in poverty today, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens? Why should the US consider the People’s Republic of China as its enemy, when it has eradicated its own poverty despite having 4 times the US’ population? And why has the US consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans?

The US must be a plutocracy if it walks talks and looks like a plutocracy.
