Why are elections legal in PR?

by José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

We need to explain that Puerto Rico is a colony of the United States Government (USG) for the past 120 years. The USG militarily invaded Puerto Rico, and forced Spain to surrender Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to it. The Puerto Ricans were never asked what they wanted.

Many people don’t know that in 1897, Spain had granted Puerto Ricans their sovereignty via the Autonomic Charter. Puerto Ricans had been fighting for that for 405 years under Spanish rule.

The USG has violated for the past 73 years the United Nations’ (UN) Charter which prohibits nations from having colonies. Moreover, the USG has repeatedly ignored 37 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The USG has refused to decolonize Puerto Rico since the founding of the UN in 1945!

Therefore, the elections in Puerto Rico are only to give the illusion that Puerto Rico is a democracy. The fact of the matter is that Puerto Ricans have no rights that the USG has to respect. Click on this link for more information: https://www.facebook.com/Maxima940/videos/263204177654558/

In reality, if Puerto Rican elections were a way to achieve our decolonization, the USG would make them illegal.

We suggest that people decolonize our mind by studying our real history with the USG’ contamination of it to engage in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with the desire of the international community.

Get involved and be part of the real solution, because those who are racists don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/ https://www.facebook.com/events/512248595904465/
