Who didn’t heed the UN’s call?

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

InfoAlDesnudo

The United Nations called (UN) on all nations to demonstrate exceptional solidarity to confront the coronavirus threat to mankind. Click on the following link to watch the UN’s call for solidarity: https://youtu.be/6WDux975cgY

All nations are doing so, except for the United States (US). Some have called this, “US exceptionalism”. Who benefits from that? Only the 0.1% of US citizens do, because of their interest to rule the world.

Since the US government (USG) only represents the 0.1%, it has done the opposite of the UN’s call. The USG has gone as far as blaming China, the World Health Organization, and the US governors for its decision to do nothing to protect the 99.9% of US citizens!

The world is witnessing US exceptionalism beyond her scope of having considered repeatedly the USG as the biggest threat to world peace. https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2017/08/07/polls-us-greatest-threat-to-peace-world-today/

In the case of Puerto Rico, The USG has repeatedly refused to comply with 38 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The USG has preferred to continue to commit a crime against humanity by maintaining Puerto Rico as its colony, than to deny the 0.1% of its citizens from becoming even richer! http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/

This pandemic is a great opportunity to reflect on the state of the world today, and about what we could do to avoid its destruction. Noam Chomsky has warned us repeatedly of the threat of nuclear war, and about protecting our planet. If we are going to change the world, this is the best time to do it!

We must, because those who value wealth over humanity, don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/

Let’s organize those who did to change the world!
