US is the real threat

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

The United States government (USG) claims that various nations are a threat to its national security. What the USG really means is that US oligarchs see those nations as threats, because they are not willing to surrender their sovereignty to them. The US is the wealthiest nation in the world, because it has stolen wealth from other nations.

Therefore, the USG is the biggest threat to peace to nations around the world, as well as a threat to its own citizens.

While 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans (within the 3% who are employers), 40 million Americans live in poverty, and 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck (within the 97% who are employees).

The US is a threat to international law too. The US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ (UN) resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory in the meantime (gentrification), and half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty too! The UN’s Puerto Rico decolonization hearing this year will be on Monday, June 16, 2025.

President Trump’s tariffs are further deindustrializing the US, and making Americans poorer. These tariffs are not intended to help the American employees. They are intended to allow Trump to maintain the tax breaks he gave oligarchs during his first presidency.

«America First» refers to oligarchs.
