Only a revolution could save Puerto Rico

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

The United States Government USG) will never give any relief for the Puerto Ricans in Puerto Rico. Why?

The USG unilaterally created, 121 years ago, exactly what Bernie Sanders is describing in his speech before Congress. Bernie is not telling those congresspersons anything that they don’t already know. Not only are they fully aware of the present chaos, they will make it even worse in order to get the remaining 3.5 million Puerto Ricans, who refuse to abandon our national territory, out, so that they could have Puerto Rico for themselves. This video constitutes fake news. Why?

The real issue is about the USG committing a crime against humanity in 1898. The USG militarily invaded Puerto Rico at a time when she had obtained real self-government from Spain via the Autonomic Charter of 1897.

The USG replaced Puerto Rico’s real self-government with United States (US) colonialism. It uses the Treaty of Paris of 1898, which contains everything that it wanted, as the legal justification for maintaining Puerto Rico colonized. The treaty basically says that Puerto Ricans have no right that the USG has to respect. This is why, only a revolution could save Puerto Rico from what Bernie Sanders described before Congress in the above video.

The following video explains why Puerto Ricans have no right that the USG has to respect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uOabch_jSo&t=127s

Our revolution could take the form of the 3.5 million Puerto Ricans in our national territory, and the 5.4 million living in exile, engaging in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter of 1945 that prohibits colonialism, and the 38 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/

If we do this, the international community would support our inalienable right to self-determination and independence. We must, however, be the ones to organize and take the first step, because those who want to get blood out of a stone don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/

We could make real news using real facts.
