Actualmente, la población de boricuas en Boriken es de 3.2 millones, mientras 5.8 millones de boricuas viven fuera. ¿Por qué? ¿Deberíamos estar preocupados por eso? Sí, porque el gobierno de Estados Unidos (GEU) ha estado provocando eso desde que nos convirtió en su colonia hace 123 años.

Mucha gente cree que los puertorriqueños tenemos nuestro propio gobierno, y se le culpa a ese supuesto “gobierno de Puerto Rico” por todo lo malo que nos sucede. Pero ese gobierno boricua disfrazado en realidad es el mismo GEU.

El GEU ha creado las condiciones desde su invasión militar en 1898 para que no existan oportunidades en Boriken para nosotros. Las únicas oportunidades que tenemos son abandonar a nuestra patria, o ingresar al servicio militar estadounidense. Así, y con una mayoría  de “blancos” en Boriken, el GEU la convertiría en su estado 51. Así, también, se cumpliría lo que dijo don Pedro Albizu Campo sobre que el gringo lo que le interesa es la jaula y no a los pájaros. 

Muchos boricuas en Boriken creen que vivimos en una democracia, porque celebramos elecciones cada 4 años. Muchos boricuas desconocen que el estado de derecho en Puerto Rico se llama el Tratado de Paris del 1898. Ese tratado dice que los derechos de los puertorriqueños serán determinados por el GEU. Por lo tanto, los boricuas no tenemos derecho alguno que el GEU nos tenga que respectar. Y eso no es democracia. ¡Eso es esclavitud!

Los blancos boricuas burgueses promueven solo el reformismo para mejorar nuestras condiciones en la colonia. Luis Muñoz Marín es el máximo ejemplo de eso. El GEU está sumamente orgulloso de que el aeropuerto internacional de Puerto Rico tenga su nombre.

Esos blancos boricuas burgueses promueven el reformismo, porque reciben beneficios del imperio por engañar al pueblo. Por eso es que no hemos podido lograr nuestra descolonización. El único derecho que tenemos los boricuas se encuentra en la ley internacional. Nosotros tenemos el derecho inalienable a nuestra autodeterminación e independencia. ¡Pero eso se tendría que luchar con resistencia, y no con reformismo! ¿Por qué digo eso? Porque:

1. El GEU nunca ha querido cumplir con la Carta de la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) que prohíbe el colonialismo por los últimos 76 años.   
2. El GEU nunca ha querido cumplir con las 39 resoluciones de la ONU pidiéndole que devuelva inmediatamente la soberanía de Puerto Rico a los puertorriqueños. http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001

Should we be concerned over this? Yes, because the US government (USG) has been provoking that since it made us its colony 123 years ago.

Many people think that Puerto Ricans have our own government, and they fault it for everything that is wrong. But that disguised “Puerto Rico Government” is really the USG.

The USG has created conditions since its military invasion in 1898, so that we would have no opportunities in our own homeland. The only opportunities that we have is to abandon our homeland, or join the US military. That way, and with a majority of “whites” living in Boriken, the USG would convert her into the 51st state of its Union. And that way, what Pedro Albizu Campos said about the USG wanting the cage and not the birds would come true!

Many Boricuas in Boriken believe that we live in a democracy, because we have elections every 4 years. Many are unaware that the Treaty of Paris of 1898 is the law of the land. That treaty says that the rights of Puerto Ricans shall be determined by the USG. In other words, Puerto Ricans have no rights that the USG has to respect. And that is not democracy. That is slavery!

The white Boricuas bourgeoisie only promote reformism to improve our colonial conditions. Luis Muñoz Marín is the best example of that. The USG is very proud of having the Puerto Rico International Airport named after him.

The only right we do have is the international law. We have the inalienable right to our self-determination and independence. But for that, we must be willing to engage in resistance, and not reformism. Why do I say that? Because:

1. The USG has never wanted to comply with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism for the past 76 years.
2. The USG has never wanted to comply with 39 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001
