Losing US’ exorbitant privilege

The United States (US) is losing, even faster than ever, its exorbitant privilege of having the dollar as the world’s reserve currency with President Trump’s tariff war. Please click on this link for more: https://youtu.be/Ggf4EE7tcmc
That is a good thing for democracy, because that privilege only benefits 3% of the US population. While 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, 40 million Americans live today in poverty, and 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck. Contrast that with the People’s Republic of China that has eradicated poverty in 2020, despite having 4 times the US’ population.
Moreover, the US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ (UN) resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. And in the meantime, 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty. This year’s UN Puerto Rico decolonization hearing will be on Monday, June 16, 2025.
US’ exorbitant privilege enables imperialism.
