Let the capitalists go to war

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

The United States (US) government wanted Muhammad Ali to fight in Vietnam, so that the 3% of US employers could become even richer. Ali refused. Please click on this link to know why: https://youtu.be/vd9aIamXjQI

Those American soldiers did not die for democracy. We know that today, because 40 million Americans live today in poverty, and 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans too.

We know that today, because the US continues to consistently refuse to comply with 42 United Nations’ (UN) resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. In the meantime, 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty too. The UN’s annual Puerto Rico decolonization hearing will be on Monday, June 16, 2025.

And we know that today, because the US is unconditinally supporting the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine against international law.

A democracy doesn’t fight for imperialism.
