Is the United States (US) the beacon of democracy? Does the US respect the rule of law? Does the US defend human rights? Does the US believe in the inalienable right of all nations to their self-determination and independence? The US mainstream media do not talk about this. But the rest of the world knows.
That is why, and with good reason, the world regards the US as the biggest threat to peace. Right now, the US is doing her best to provoke World War III. Who does that benefit?
Certainly not humanity, nor the 99% of US citizens. It benefits the 1% that stand to make a lot of money from as many wars as possible.
What the US does defend is her own hegemony, and the rule of the jungle!
That is why the US has never complied with the United Nations’ Charter of 1945 that prohibits colonialism for being a crime against humanity.
