Hiding PR colonialism via US propaganda

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

42 years after the United States (US) government (USG) militarily invaded Puerto Rico to make her its colony, it made this propaganda movie called, “DEMOCRACY AT WORK IN RURAL PUERTO RICO.” Click on the following link to watch how the USG attempted to hide US colonialism behind Hollywood’s iron curtain of American style “democracy”: https://youtu.be/NXRIC1qUJHk

Do you know that Puerto Rico is still a US colony? And, as if that were not enough, the USG says that Puerto Rico owes 74 billion dollars!

Do you know that despite the existence of something called the, “government of Puerto Rico” more Puerto Ricans live away from our national territory than in? That is, because the so called “government of Puerto Rico” is in reality the USG. So, where is democracy at work in Puerto Rico?

Do you know that the USG has never complied with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter of 1945 that prohibits colonialism? Colonialism is a crime against humanity! Why doesn’t the UN make a video about that?

Do you know that the USG has ignored 39 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? Thus, US “democracy” means committing crimes against humanity with impunity! http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001

Puerto Ricans can’t vote our way out of US colonialism. Puerto Ricans, also, can’t rely that the UN will decolonize us. Therefore, Puerto Ricans must engage in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with international law. And our protest must be now, tomorrow and forever! www.TodosUnidosDescolonizarPR.blogspot.com

It’s up to us.
