Gagged to consent to PR colonialism

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

InfoAlDesnudo

The Gag Act from 1948 to 1957 was a law in Puerto Rico that made it a crime to want independence for Puerto Rico. That law violated the United Nations’ (UN) Charter of 1945 that gave all people the right to self-determination and independence.

It was during the Gag Act period that, in 1952, the so-called, “Commonwealth of Puerto Rico” was allegedly “approved” by the Puerto Ricans as our new “political status” with the United States (US). Click on the following link to watch a short video: https://youtu.be/B8UdDMtSF4U

Puerto Rico is today, in essence, a US colony, as it has always been since 1898. The US government (USG), as an outlaw states, has violated for the past 76 years the UN’s Charter that prohibits colonialism. The USG, contrary to a democracy, has also ignored 40 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

The USG’s contempt for the rule of law has gotten itself closer than ever to a second civil war. The people must seize this opportunity to make the US a democracy that represents all of her citizens. https://todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/

A democracy ungags the people’s needs.
