Employer – employee must be challenged
In order for the world to enjoy real democracy, the existing employer – employee relationship must be challenged.
That relationship is what sustains 40 million United States (US) citizens today living in poverty, and 201 million more living from paycheck to paycheck in the so-called «champion of democracy», while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are also US citizens. How could a relationship that only benefits 3% of its citizens represent democracy? Because it does, the US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ (UN) resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. And in the meantime, 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty. This year’s UN Puerto Rico decolonization hearing will be on Monday, June 16, 2025.
An employer – employee relationship could never bring liberty and justice for all. Organizing the production of goods and services democratically, however, inevitably will.
No change, no democracy.
