Dream turned into nightmare

It is important to mention that 40 million Americans live today in poverty, and 201 million more live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans too.

While Americans live like this, the United States (US) has money for 800 military bases around the world.

While Americans live like this, the US has money to start a war in Ukraine in order to steal the wealth of the Russian Federation.

While Americans live like this, the US has the money to unconditionally support the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine against international law.

And, while Americans live like this, the US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ (UN) resolutions demanding the immediate return of Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. In the meantime, 6 million Puerto Ricans have abandoned their national territory (gentrification), and half of the 3 million people in Puerto Rico live in poverty too. The UN’s annual Puerto Rico decolonization hearing will be on Monday, June 16, 2025.
