Capitalism is slavery

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

Despite our belief that capitalism means freedom, the reality is that it means slavery. United States (US) citizens have absolutely no say in our so-called democracy. The capitalists do. Click on the following link for more:

Puerto Rico is an excellent example of this.

The US government (USG) militarily invaded Puerto Rico to make her its colony in 1898. That was 33 years after its civil war that formally ended slavery.

The USG today is in violation of the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism since 1945. Thus, the USG is knowingly committing a crime against humanity. We didn’t need Julian Assange to tell us that!

Moreover, the USG has ignored 40 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

Only 13% of US citizens are satisfied today with our government. If democracy means ruled by the consent of the people, the US does not have the consent of 87% of us!

We must decolonize our minds from US corporate indoctrination, and take control of our government. If we can’t do that, that is further proof that we live under a plutocracy.

A plutocracy masked as a democracy.
