The US, however, has maintained Puerto Rico as her colony for the past 124 years in violation of the United Nations’ (UN) Charter of 1945 that prohibits colonialism for being a crime against humanity. Does China have 800 military bases all around the world? No, the US does.
If China were the biggest threat to peace, she would be sending a Chinese delegation to Puerto Rico to tell us that China supports our inalienable right to self-determination and independence. But, of course, it is the US that does that in Taiwan.
