Why is Puerto Rico in crisis?

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

It is, because she has been a colony for the past 122 years. The United States government (USG) invaded Puerto Rico in 1898 precisely to do that. The following video quickly explains this in a sanitized way for the USG, but you must do your homework to get the rest of the story: https://youtu.be/1jTMzIkWsKs

The USG is not the champion of democracy like it would like you to believe. The USG is denying Puerto Ricans their inalienable right to self-determination and independence. That is called to commit a crime against humanity! Do you know that the world regards the USG as the biggest threat to world peace?

The USG is not governed by the rule of law, because it has never complied with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter of 1945 that prohibits colonialism. Moreover, the USG has ignored 39 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/

Puerto Rico is in crisis, because the USG wants her to be. That way, Puerto Ricans would be forced to abandon our island for a better life. And that way, the USG could one day have our island for itself once gentrification has been completed.

We still have 3.2 million Puerto Ricans in our national territory, however 5.4 million have left. We need to stop the bleeding by learning our real history. Only then, could we be willing to fight like hell to defend what is ours. There is much work to be done for those who affirm, “Yo soy boricua pa que tú lo sepas”. www.
