Why glorify slavery?

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

The United States (US) government glorifies slavery, because institutionalized racism is in its DNA. If that were not true, all of the statues representing human exploitation would have already been removed after the US Civil War. But, they are still standing. Why? Many of the Confederate statues were erected during, what most people call, “The Civil Rights Movement”. I prefer to call it “The 1960’s Slave Insurrection”, because why would citizens fight for their own civil rights?

The Jim Crow Laws is a great example of how entrenched racism is in the US. These laws were intended to continue to treat Blacks as sub-humans after the Civil Law.

Some people say that one third of US citizens are white supremacists, and that they elected Trump president. There is no doubt, however, that the 1% who controls the USG are white supremacists. Here is the proof.

Puerto Rico has been a US colony for the past 121 years. The USG has never complied with the United Nations’ Charter that prohibits colonialism since 1945, because it is a crime against humanity. The USG has ignored 38 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/

Join the struggle to create a humanitarian civilization, because those who want to continue to exploit others have never wanted LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. http://www.todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/

Let’s glorify human solidarity.

Jose M Lopez Ismael
