Why do Boricuas seek US validation?

123 years of United States (US) colonialism has molded the minds of many Boricuas to seek the US government’s (USG) validation. This is what half of the population of Puerto Rico is seeking by wanting to become a state of the Union. They believe that that is the only way to achieve equality from the USG.
Jim Brown was an outstanding football player. Click on the following link to know his thoughts on US racism, and how that makes oppressed people seek the USG’s validation: https://youtu.be/cPj5M-QVmnk
Jim Brown said that a real man would never accept that validation. Boricuas ought not to be seeking equality from the USG. We ought to be seeking to be all that we could be as Boricuas!
Instead of Boricuas participation in fake “democratic elections and plebiscites”, we should engage in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism since 1945, and also force it to comply with the 39 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/
Boricuas don’t need the USG’s validation. www.TodosUnidosDescolonizarPR.blogspot.com
Boricuas need to be ourselves!
