Who benefits from trickle-down economics?

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

InfoAlDesnudo

The United States (US) capitalists had been working, since President’s Franklyn D. Roosevelt’s New Deal to save US citizens from the Great Depression of the 1930’s, to reverse his socialist policy. The capitalists, via President Ronald Reagan, began, in the 1980’s, their discourse that the problem was big government.

They proposed that the government be made smaller by allowing the capitalists to do whatever they wanted. In that way, the economy would generate a bonanza of wealth, and that the 99% of the people would inevitably benefit from it. Click on the following link for more: https://youtu.be/0yzeOqV7eKI

Neoliberalism is what this particular big lie was called. Trickle-down economics resulted in the US deindustrializing herself, by sending jobs overseas to save money on labor, and at the same time destroying US labor unions.

Neoliberalism also has resulted in the US becoming the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic, while at the same time, 9 out of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. As a footnote, the world regards the US government (USG) as the biggest threat to peace!

The problem is that the USG is run by the 1% for the 1% of its citizens. The solution is what a real democracy calls for, a government for 100% of its people. Voting is not going to get that done. The people will have to permanently protest in the streets. If we don’t, our nightmare will only get worse!

God help America!
