What is even more amazing is how the US has managed to commit domestic and international crimes for 249 years with impunity!
The US has had Cuba under an economic blockade for more than 60 years against international law. The only 2 nations that agree with that blockade is the US and Israel. Since that can’t be an example of democracy, it does serve, however, as an excellent illustration of what the US means by its so-called, “Rules Based Order”.
Moreover, the US, the so-called “champion of democracy”, has had Puerto Rico as its colony for the past 127 years. The US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. The amazing thing that beats them all is the US’ unconditional support for the genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine, against international law!
