US wants no peace with Russia

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) was allegedly a defense alliance against the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics’ (USSR) aggression.
But, once the USSR dissolved its own defensive alliance organization, the WARSAW PACT, and subsequently the USSR collapsed, why did the United States (US) continue to maintain NATO? And more importantly, why did the US continue to move NATO to the Russian Federation’s border up to the present? The world today is at the brink of a nuclear war due to the US’ desire to maintain her hegemony forever. Therefore, the US is not about democracy, human rights, freedom of the press, the rule of law, and world peace. The US is all about imperialism now, tomorrow and forever.
