The US is desperately trying to hold on to its hegemony, as the world order continues to quickly become a multipolar one. The US prefers to have a global war now, before Multipolarity gets even more formidable.
The threat of a nuclear war is very high, because the US and its allies will not be able to win a conventional war against the global majority. US oligarchs, in their arrogance, may go mad and go to their last resort of Mutually Assured Destruction.
It is worth mentioning that 99% of US citizens do not benefit from what our government does. Today, 38 million Americans live in poverty, and 60% live from paycheck to paycheck. 9 of the 10 richest men in the world, however, are US citizens!
What does democracy have to do with the fact that the US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? That is 126 years of US imperialism in Puerto Rico!
War is the racket that makes oligarchs richer.
