One would think that a champion of democracy would have the least amount of incarceration. On the contrary, the United States (US) has the most incarceration than any other nation in the world! Only 33% of US citizens are satisfied today with our government, because it does not represent 100% its citizens.
38 million Americans live in poverty, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. The US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. And the US is today sponsoring Israel’s genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine. The US, therefore, is the champion of oligarchy.
