No one is supposed to be above the law in a democratic republic. That is why we could say with certainty that the United States government (USG) is above the law.
When the International Criminal Court (ICC) decided to investigate the USG of war crimes, the USG sanctioned the ICC. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-54003527
When Julián Assange exposed the USG of crimes, the USG decided to punish him even if it had to violate all laws to do so.
The USG has had Puerto Rico as its colony for the past 123 years in violation to the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism. 87% of US citizens today are dissatisfied with our government. The USG is seeking today a war with Russia and China to benefit 1% of its citizens. The next war will be the last for mankind!

We need to eliminate double standard to get justice. With justice, we will have peace!
