The US’ hunger for hegemony enables her military industrial complex to continue to make a lot of money forever, while US citizens’ wellbeing are sacrificed. The proof is in the fact that today 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens, while 38 million Americans live in poverty!
A free market will never ensure democracy. On the contrary, a free market will always ensure oligarchy.
It is the regulation of the oligarchs that ensures democracy.
