US “democracy” is always at war

By José M. López Sierra

What does perpetual war have to do with democracy? What does 800 United States (US) military bases around the world have to do with democracy? What does committing, or supporting genocide have to do with democracy? And, what does refusing to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that the US immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans have to do with democracy. Nothing!

But, they all have everything to do with imperialism. Please click on the following link to understand why the US is always looking to get into another war: https://youtu.be/sfWfOE6Cs94

Some people say that the US needs all those military bases, because other nations are envious of all the freedom that US citizens have. Do they know that 38 million Americans live in poverty, and that only 33% of Americans are satisfied with our government?

Are people aware that 60% of US citizens live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are Americans?

Are people aware that the People’s Republic of China that is never looking for war has eradicated her poverty, despite having 4 times the US’ population? And, although China has never claimed to be the champion of democracy, do you know that 90% of Chinese are satisfied with their government?

The world considers the US as the biggest threat to peace. Now, it has gotten even worse, because the US can’t win a conventional war anymore. That means that the US’ only option of winning a war is destroying the world.

What goes around comes around.

Isn’t it time to stop?
