US bases sitting ducks for Iran

By José M. López Sierra

As the world awaits Iran’s retaliation over the Hamas’ leader assassination, and in recognition that the United States’ (US) is unconditionally supporting the artificial colonial settler regime of Israel’s genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine, the US fears that its 12 secret military bases in the region will be sitting ducks for the Resistance Axis. These secret military bases in Egypt, Lebanon, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Omar and Jordan, are important components to US imperialism. The US fears that the destruction of these bases will result in a significant blow to its imperialism in West Asia.

Most of these states that are hosting US bases are today outraged at Israel’s genocide, and are not joining the US’ coalition to protect Israel from Iran’s upcoming retaliation.

Most US citizens are against our government’s unconditional support to Israel. Today, only 33% of Americans are satisfied with our government. If that is not the best proof that the US is not a democracy, nothing is!

While the US has spent enormous amount of money for the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, 38 million Americans live in poverty, and 60% live from paycheck to paycheck.

Moreover, the US has refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k1w/k1wb1xdn6i https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k15/k154ku9q8x

Resistance is steadily mounting against US imperialism. People should read US Major General Smedley Butler’s book WAR IS A RACKET to understand who benefits from US wars. The 99% of us don’t!

Oligarchs fear the collapse of US imperialism.
