The west has never been about democracy and the protection of human rights. That is why 38 million Americans live in poverty today, while China has already eradicated poverty at home despite having a population 4 times that of the US.
What the US calls exceptionalism is that 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. Understandably, only 40% of US citizens are satisfied with our government, while 95% of Chinese citizens are satisfied with theirs!
The majority of nations want to end the west’s unfair use of power.
A multipolar world is more democratic than a US unipolar one.
