The end of the petrodollar

By José M. López Sierra

The exorbitant privilege of the United States (US) is quickly eroding, since Saudi Arabia announced that it has decided to cease its petrodollar arrangement. Please click on this link for more: https://youtu.be/EKT8Gw29uFM

That will make the US Empire more difficult to maintain, as nations are today afforded an alternative to the US dominated financial system put in place after World War II.

The US has been enjoying its exorbitant privilege to illegally sanction economically nations that decided to use their sovereignty for the benefit of their own citizens.

Cuba, for example, has been under an illegal economic US blockade for more than 60 years, against the desire of almost 100% of the international community.

Moreover, the US has had Puerto Rico as its colony for the past 126 years. The United Nations (UN) will hold its annual Puerto Rico decolonization hearing on Thursday, June 20, 2024, but the US “free press” won’t tell you that. The US doesn’t want you to know that it is committing a crime against humanity.

The UN will once again issue another resolution saying exactly the same thing as all the others. The US will ignore that one too, because it never does anything that would benefit 100% of its citizens.

That is why 38 million Americans today live in poverty, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens.

Are you aware that the People’s Republic of China has already eradicated her poverty, despite having 4 times the US’ population?

De-dollarization could lead to US democratization.
