Puerto Rico’s agony is being a US colony

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

United States (US) President Trump tried to minimize his government’s failure to help Puerto Ricans after Hurricane Maria by highlighting the fact that Puerto Rico’s electrical grid was in poor condition before the hurricane. Click on the following link to watch a video of Trump blaming Puerto Ricans for everything wrong in Puerto Rico: https://youtu.be/RHj6oQYSQo4

Although it is exactly true that Puerto Rico’s electrical grid is poor, but so is everything else!  Trump’s explanation for Puerto Rico’s agony is far from the truth!

Trump will never tell you that the US government makes it impossible for Puerto Ricans to govern their nation for themselves, because they have been a US colony for the past 121 years. https://youtu.be/dRHGdhRBG1M

That is not taught in schools, and is not mentioned in the media. Do you know that even the annual United Nations’ (UN) hearings in New York City (NYC) to discuss the US government’s crime against humanity for refusing to comply with the UN’s Charter and its 38 resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans is not mentioned at all in the media? Wouldn’t that be important news for the over 700,000 Puerto Ricans residing in NYC? http://webtv.un.org/watch/5th-meeting-committee-of-24-special-committee-on-decolonization/6051725003001/

This is why:

  1. More Puerto Ricans live away, than in their national territory
  2. The US government recruit more people to its military in Puerto Rico than in any of the 50 states of its own national territory
  3. Puerto Rico import 85% of what Puerto Ricans eat, when Puerto Ricans can grow in Puerto Rico everything we needs to have a better healthy diet

Join the Boricua tsunami to force the US government to comply with international law, because he who lies to cover up his crime, don’t believe in LIBERTY AND IN JUSTICE FOR ALL! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1697349163904877/

Help relieve Puerto Rico’s agony.

Jose M Lopez Ismael
