PR and US’ “Rules Based Order”

By José M. López Sierra

If the United Nations’ (UN) Charter has existed since 1945, why would the United States (US) need its own “Rules Based Order”? The US does, because it never intended to comply with the UN’s Charter. Let’s take Puerto Rico, as an example.

Aside from the US completely violating the Charter from the very beginning, it has also consistently refused to comply with 42 UN’s resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k1w/k1wb1xdn6i https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k15/k154ku9q8x

126 years of US colonialism in Puerto Rico has resulted in two thirds of Puerto Ricans living away from our homeland, and half of those still residing in Boriken live in poverty!

The US is also not presently complying with the Genocide Convention, and the ruling of the International Court of Justice, by unconditionally supporting the artificial colonial settler regime of Israel in its genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine.

Thus, the US is an outlaw state, and its “Rules Based Order” is a euphemism for the rule of the jungle. That is why the world today regards the US as the biggest threat to peace. Why else would the US need 800 military bases around the world?

The BRICS nations are planning to leave the UN, because it is not capable of working democratically for peace. The main obstacles are the war loving nations headed by the US that never should have been admitted into the UN based on that alone!

The present condition of the US is due to the leaderships of both the Republican and Democratic Parties. 38 million Americans live in poverty, while 60% live from paycheck to paycheck. 9 of the 10 richest men in the world, however, are US citizens. Why then would the 99% of Americans vote for either of the two major US political parties?

In the way of a democracy test, there are third party candidates running on the platform of ending US imperialism. If the US were really a democracy, either of them should win by a landslide! The problem, of course, is that the US is an oligarchy!

“Rules Based Order” is to hide US’ oligarchy.
