During the presidency of William McKinley, the United States’ (US) government (USG) militarily invaded Puerto Rico to make her its colony in 1898. McKinley was assassinated three years later. Click on the following link for more: https://youtu.be/HN6SCCnp-vE
123 years later, Puerto Rico is still a US colony in violation to the United Nations’ (UN) Charter that prohibits colonialism since 1945. Colonialism is a crime against humanity under international law.
The USG, however, has ignored 40 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0
Puerto Rico will continue to be a US colony until the 9 million Puerto Ricans worldwide, who are the ones with the inalienable right to self-determination and independence, engage in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with international law. https://todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/
McKinley is among 4 US presidents assassinated while in office.
