Liberty and justice for all

By José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

When has the United States (US) government (USG) ever shown that it believes in liberty and justice for all? If one studies its 245 year history, never! The USG has always been about the rule of the jungle.

The latest example of that was yesterday’s vote at the General Assembly (GA) of the United Nations (UN), where 184 nations voted in favor of the USG ending its over sixty year illegal blockade against Cuba. Only the USG and Israel voted to continue that crime! And that is why the USG, in the eyes of the world, is the biggest threat to peace. The USG doesn’t believe in democracy either, because it still is determined to continue its crime although 98% of the GA voted against it. So, why is the UN located in the US? Was it a wise decision to have put the UN in the nation that the world considers the biggest threat to peace?

For half of the USG’s history, Puerto Rico has been a US colony. The USG has always violated the UN Charter that prohibits colonialism for the past 76 years. The USG has ignored, with impunity, 40 UN resolutions asking it to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0

And yet, the USG voted to kick Russia out of the G-8, because she annexed Crimea in 2014. Why hasn’t the G-7 kicked out the USG for having Puerto Rico as its colony for the past 123 years? The UN considers colonialism a crime against humanity! Whose crime is worst?

The criminal cannot be a world leader. The UN must be located in a nation that believes in the rule of law, and not in an outlaw state! And, the 9 million Puerto Ricans worldwide must engage in permanent resistance to force the USG to comply with international law. If we don’t, the criminal will continue committing crimes. Is that what we want? http://www.todosunidosdescolonizarpr.blogspot.com/

We must create liberty and justice for all. It won’t happen by magic.

Liberty and justice must be created.
