Does the US really care about Puerto Ricans? If the US does, why did she militarily invade her to make her a US colony 125 years ago?
Why has the US repeatedly ignored 41 United Nations (UN) resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? This month, the UN will once again hold its annual Puerto Rico decolonization hearing, and issue yet another resolution saying exactly the same thing. The US, in order to try to appear that she is a democracy, likes to encourage Boricuas to hold complicated and antagonistic plebiscites to determine what we want. But we already know that we want our sovereignty to decide our own future for ourselves.
How could the US be the champion of democracy, when 38 million American still live in poverty today. The People’s Republic of China, whom the US claims is not a democracy, has already eradicated poverty at home despite having 4 times the US’ population! While only 40% of US citizens are satisfied with our government, over 90% of Chinese are satisfied with theirs!
The US uses others’ sovereignties to make US oligarchs even richer. That is why 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens.
