The United States (US) government (USG) alleges that it wants the independence of Hong Kong and Taiwan from China. The USG, however, has maintained Puerto Rico as its colony for the past 123 years. The USG has no moral standing to ask China to decolonize Hong Kong and Taiwan. The only reason it does is, because the USG wants to rule the world!
