Harris and Trump don’t represent democracy

By José M. López Sierra

InfoAlDesnudo

Both United States’ (US) major political party candidates do not represent democracy. Under both parties, 38 million Americans live today in poverty and 60% live from paycheck to paycheck, while 9 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens. That’s called plutocracy!

The US is a criminal regime as evidenced by its refusal to comply with the Genocide Convention and the International Criminal Courts’ resolution about the artificial colonial settler regime of Israel’s genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine. Most US citizens are opposed to our government’s unconditional support of Israel’s genocide, but it continues nevertheless. Is that democracy?

And what about the US, under both parties, consistently refusing to comply with 42 United Nations’ (UN) resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. These are very different times for US imperialism. The BRICS nations have already surpassed the GDP of the US’ G-7 group. The US will not be able to continue to force the world into doing whatever it wants anymore. The BRICS nations are even creating a new democratic international organization that will allow them to leave the UN.

It is important to note that the world regards the US as the biggest threat to peace. When the US realizes that it can’t bully nations around via conventional wars, will it decide to use nuclear weapons as it once did in Japan in 1945? Today, the US is not the only one with nuclear weapons.

US wants to double down to maintain its hegemony. That is a recipe for World War III!

A vote for Red or Blue accelerates midnight on the Doomsday Clock.
