The United Nations Secretary General has invoked Article 99, which is equivalent to a panic button, to urge the Security Council to urgently call for a cease fire in the Israeli Palestinian war. Please click on the following link for more: https://youtu.be/fHHPepOmOb4
The United States (US) has used its veto power to repeatedly oppose a cease fire. This, however, is the expected US behavior, as the world has long regarded the US as the biggest threat to peace.
Moreover, the US’ Military Industrial Complex has long threatened US democracy by its generation of huge profits from wars, as US Major General Butler in the 1930’s, and US President Eisenhower in the 1960’s warned US citizens.
It is imperative to mention that Thomas Jefferson said that “Whenever any form of government becomes destructive to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government…”
Is profit more important than human life?
