The following videos have false information about the essence of their topics. They ignore the rule of law, and cover up the full extent of United States’ (US) imperialism. Absent from these videos is the fact that Puerto Rico had obtained self-government from Spain the year before the US militarily invaded her in 1898. The United States government (USG) didn’t care about that, because of its “Manifest Destiny”. It wanted to make Puerto Rico its colony!
One of the videos blames Puerto Rico’s political status on the Puerto Ricans’ inability to pull ourselves away from being a US colony. It does not mention, more importantly, that the United Nations’ (UN) Charter of 1945 prohibits colonialism, because it is a crime against humanity. It matters not whether the people want it!
The videos never mentioned the fact that the UN has asked in 38 resolutions to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.
