Encircling the US

By José M. López Sierra

The idea behind the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is to encircle the Russian Federation in order to defeat her, and to steal her resources. NATO hates socialism, because that doesn’t benefit its oligarchs.

NATO gambled that its proxy war in Ukraine would beat Russia, but it has failed miserably. In desperation, the United States (US) has authorized Ukraine to use its weapons to hit inside Russia. If that is fair game, Russia believes that she too should be able to arm NATO’s enemies with Russian weaponry to target NATO.

About 90% of the world is against NATO. The US itself has 800 military bases around the world. Arming the global majority with Russian weaponry would mean a lot of targets for it! Russia’s military presence in Cuba is a stark reminder to the US that she too could be encircled.

The US is upset with the People’s Republic of China for beating it, of all things, in capitalism! How dare a socialist state do that? The US will do anything to bring China down.

One of the ways is by hypocritically saying that it supports Taiwan’s inalienable right to self-determination and independence. But, are you aware that the US has consistently refused to comply with 42 United Nations’ (UN) resolutions demanding that it immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans?

The UN will hold its annual Puerto Rico decolonization hearing on Thursday, June 20, 2024, but the US’ “free press” will never tell you that. The US wants to continue to hide the fact that it is committing a crime against humanity.

The UN will once again issue another resolution saying exactly the same thing as all the others. The US will ignore that one too, because it never does anything that could benefit 100% of its citizens.

US citizens must, therefore, encircle our own government to force it to become a real democracy. Both major political party candidates are committed with continuing with the status quo. Fortunately, third party candidates have platforms that include the eradication of US imperialism.

No one is free until we all are!
