The citizens of the United States (US) do not have a say in what our government does. If we were a democracy, why did over a million US citizens die due to the coronavirus pandemic, or 38 million Americans live in poverty today, while 8 of the 10 richest men in the world are US citizens? If the US were a democracy, why has she refused to comply with 42 United Nations resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzBslJLbI0
If the US were a democracy, why has she permitted 2 thirds of Puerto Ricans to abandon our national territory, while allowing half of those remaining to live in poverty?
She does for the same reason the US is today fighting a proxy war in Ukraine, and has maintained for over 60 years an illegal economic blockade against Cuba. The US’ interest is in making US oligarchs even richer!
Therefore, US democracy is an illusion! Only 40% of US citizens are satisfied with our government, while over 90% of Chinese are satisfied with theirs. Which government is the authoritarian?
